60 day shifting ...

I will say this is my 1st day of raw foods, starting the 60 day shift journey on my own... since this is August 1, this is a great day to start anything... my birth month... I will be going into my 45th year, as I see it, about 1/2 of my life has been lived...
How to live on this side of the hill , is a whole other concept...
I was approached today by a young girl at a picnic, she heard that I was eating raw foods, and was curious as to what it was. I explained to her in the easiest way possible.
My Mantra: Our bodies are constantly regenerating thousands of cells, every minute, of every day, the source in which they build these new cells are the foods that we bring into it.
I have meditated on this idea for a while. This thought has to overrule all of my addictive behaviors towards toxic food,  processed sugar, transfats and sodium , especially as I pass fast food on every corner of every street , on days that I am not feeling so strong.
Thoughts are powerful. I pray my mantra is more powerful than my thoughts of addiction to toxic substances...
I am a healer, and I teach many through bodywork, plant medicine and the connection of the mind body spirit connection. Now the time has come for me to put all of my own education, will power and thought to practice what I have been preaching for so long.
The 60 day shift is a tool for anyone who wants to let go of bad vices and trade them in for good.
Myself and Rev Shelley Best will be here to guide you through your 60 days.
I hope through my daily posts, questions and answers, trivia, quotes and opportunities online, you will have all the support you need to transition into a healthier, happier lifestyle.
Remember, I am right here with you... doing the work.

Allergy-Free Candles and In Home Aromatherapy

Any ingredient labels that have "fragrance" listed, allows for all of these chemicals to be put into the product with out you really knowing the poison you will be ingesting, either by breathing, or through your skin
Some conventionally scented candles may expose you to toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, which can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat.
Formaldehyde also can cause nausea and breathing difficulties
You can create ways to make your home smell nice with natural scents.
They can be from a reed diffuser that will soak up the pure essential oils of flowers and plants without using fire, to avoid smoke inhalation.
If you  prefer candles, choose the ones made with soy wax, pure essential oils and organic cotton wicks. They
will allow a soft scent without the 1000's of chemicals they add to the environment.
Indoor toxins are actually more dangerous to you and your family's health, so be mindful and use the most pure fragrance you can find.
